Besides The Jeep Invasion at the SEMA show the Ford Raptor had a solid 2nd place showing in the off road vehicle category. There were very few overland equipped rigs at the show, but you’ll see most of them below. There were also lots of other cool trucks, SUV and off road vehicles scattered across the show. Check out the cross-section of highlights below and be sure to see many more in the FB Gallery HERE. For all the on road vehicle highlights check out this post HERE.
- The Ford Raptor truly dominated the truck category at SEMA this year. Be sure to check out the FB Gallery HERE to see the plethora of modified Raptor.
- Check out the full report on the sweet UJOR V4 HERE.
- Sportsmobile goodness. The FUSO based prototype that debuted at ‘12 EXPO and an orange E-Series fully tricked out.
- The Survivor Truck. The zombie apocalypse mobile. The whole thing is Rhino lined and has an integrated 4-Wheel Camper shell in the back. Multi fuel engine, bio/nuclear/chemical filter, solar-powered generator, water filtration & storage, armored command center, 360 thermal imaging, sniper platform, etc…
- Expedition Overland brought their Cruiser and are gearing up for some sweet projects in 2013. Be sure to check out their films online. Super high quality production with some quality adventures.
- There were only a few FJ and roof top tent present at SEMA this year. This rig by Trail-Gear was a nice little package and the first thing seen by many people attending the show.
- Very rugged looking Land Cruiser done up by TJM. The black wheel white truck look is growing on me:)
- Land Rover had a tiny presence at the show at best. A few blinged out Evoque & Range Rover scattered about while this LR4 Overland Journal build stood out. It is early in the build of this truck, but it already is well-appointed and ready for a serious overland journey. Would you take this thing into the wild and far from a Land Rover mechanic?
- Another Overland Journal project is this VERY nice diesel, right hand drive, manual Land Cruiser. I could see taking this to the ends of the earth and back. Doesn’t have enough scratches on it though;)
- Icon D200 Reformer: ’65 D200 Crew Cab built on a ’06 3500 Dodge Truck. 975 lb ft torque, Rolls Royce Wool Carpet, Custom Stainless Trim, Bison Hide Interior, 100% LED Lighting, etc, etc… One sweet ride that could easily be used as a daily driver. Probably one of the most talked about vehicles at the show.
- $100-$150K gets you what is advertised as “the best off road performance” vehicle you can get. The Zibar looks very similar to a Hummer, and can be configured in many ways like a Hummer as well. The LSX motor helps this thing fly off road!
- 30 yrs of Grave Digger Monster Truck awesome. The Spectra Chrome paint job was quite cool as well.
- Galpin Autosport brought this very cool Gulf liveried Bronco. I WANT!
- Going with the Bronco theme here is the “blue” version from Oracle Lighting.
- Smitty Built brought this upfitted Toyota Hilux diesel. Too bad we can’t have them here in the US:(
- I love Matchbox! My collection of old Matchbox cars is huge. This fire truck was heavily customized.
- Lots of buggies & off road racers at the show like this Miller sponsored King of the Hammers rig. I need to get to that race one year.
- KC Bones brought this sweet Nova SS 4×4. Would you wheel it?
