Canyon Creek is such a good river to paddle and offers a pretty spectacular race course. Access is an issue for spectators and non class V boaters, as seen by the finish timers this year. This year I passed on racing in favor of documenting the entire race properly for your viewing pleasure. It was a lot of work getting out and filming each rapid from multiple angles, but it was such a beautiful day that it was all worth it:) I look forward to laying down a quick time at next years Canyon Creek race, watch out Tao;) Tao Berman once again laid the smack down on the course and reclaimed the race title that he has owned for many years. He just edged out Darren Albright by 1 second for that win, upsetting Darren from a full sweep of the weekend’s races. Louis Geltman was narrowly beaten by Tao in the last Canyon Creek Race and was looking for redemption, but a small error at Big Kahuna killed that opportunity. Overall it was a super well attended race with some really stiff local competition on a pushy course. Carnage was had by a few, but not nearly as much as you’d expect from this course and water level.
