This film was done by my friends Andy Maser and Barney Bonito. Such an amazing short on the restoration of two of this countries most amazing waterways, the Elwah and White Salmon Rivers. I’ve used the White Salmon as my playground for about 4 yrs now and so look forward to discovering new rapids within its banks. This film has garnered some amazing accolades and I’m sure will continue to do so. Andy conservatively figures the film has been viewed 3 million times!
Andy has done amazing things with film and photography over the past few years and I’m proud to call him a friend. I can only aspire to attain the level of success in this field that he has achieved and the levels of greatness that he is headed for. The take away for me is that if you have a passion for something, fully immerse yourself in it and make it happen, no excuses. Hard work, dedication, and passion are what will fuel success. In this case Andy has done all of the above and is on his way to creating an amazing legacy.
You can see some REALLY early footage of Andy staring in my first film project “Wet Dreamin’: ’03 East Coast Playboating“.
Barney is a super talented cinematographer and editor and used his ninja editing skills to make this piece shine. I’ve gotten to know Barney while living here in Portland, OR and have truly enjoyed every interaction I’ve had with him. I look forward to seeing more of his work and paddling with him more soon.
See you on the river,
Bryon Dorr
